Learn How Washington Students Use Artificial Intelligence in the Classroom

Thank you for being part of the League of Education Voters (LEV) community!

We are still awaiting Governor Ferguson to take action on the 2025-27 Washington state biennial budget compromise – his deadline is Tuesday, May 20. The big question is whether the Governor will sign the budget as passed by the legislature, or veto parts of it. If there are changes in the state budget after May 20, we will release an updated 2025-27 Biennial Budget Summary.

In case you missed last week’s LEVinar to recap the 2025 Washington state Legislative Session, you can watch the recording here.

Also, as the 2024-25 school year approaches its final weeks, artificial intelligence (AI) continues to make headlines. Next Thursday, May 22nd, we are hosting a Lunchtime LEVinar featuring a panel of students who will share how they are currently using AI and what they would like to see in the future.

And on Thursday, June 5th, join a panel of school district superintendents from across Washington state who will share how they are supporting academic preparedness, student social-emotional and physical well-being, and college and career knowledge, what data they are monitoring to determine whether their strategies are effective, and what challenges they see on the horizon.
