Listen to Voices from the Asian American Pacific Islander Community First and foremost, our hearts go out to the students and families of Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. Every student deserves a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment so they can grow, learn, and thrive. As the 2021-22 school year stretches into its final weeks, League of Education Voters is busy engaging with students, families, educators, and partners across Washington state to research and review emerging policy areas to prepare for the 2023 legislative session. We're also tracking bills from this year's session that will be implemented this fall to help make our education system more equitable. We hope you can join us on June 9 for a free webinar featuring voices from the statewide Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community to share their perspectives on current events and what works to effectively educate AAPI students in an equitable way. And our Annual Event happens on October 13th at Block 41 in Seattle (and on Zoom) to celebrate the power of student voice. Read more about our work below. |
