Tell Governor Ferguson to support the Legislature’s budget compromise and protect the progress we’ve made for Washington students.
Students from South Shore PreK-8
The Legislature has put forward a balanced budget. Now it’s up to the Governor to support it.
After months of difficult conversations, the Legislature has released a final budget compromise that, while issuing large cuts, also includes new revenue to help stabilize essential services across Washington. The budget reflects a hard-fought balance: protecting key programs in education and beyond while beginning to address our state’s long-term funding challenges.
Now, we need Governor Ferguson to support the Legislature’s solution and not send us backward by vetoing parts of the deal in favor of deeper cuts.
Cuts alone won’t solve the challenges we face. Schools and communities across Washington are already feeling the impact of rising costs, aging infrastructure, and underfunded services. The budget compromise recognizes that we need both savings and new revenue to meet the moment.
Please take a moment to use this form to send a message to Governor Ferguson and urge him to support the Legislature’s budget compromise and protect the progress we’ve made.
